Jim Humes
Jim leads projects at the intersection of brand, business, and communication strategy. For more than two decades, he has helped organizations craft their narratives of purpose, innovation, and change. He has worked across industries, in collaboration with leaders at companies ranging from large corporations (Apple, The Coca-Cola Company, California Pizza Kitchen, eBay, JCPenney, Levi Strauss & Co, LifeLock, HP, Invesco, Nike, and Starbucks) to boutique service providers, innovative start-ups, and non-profit organizations.
Before founding Throughline in 2009, Jim led strategy and user experience teams at SYPartners, Walmart.com, Sapient, and Studio Archetype. He holds a B.A. in English Literature from Rice University and an MFA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University.
The AIGA has recognized him for his work in Content Strategy, Copy Writing, and Creative Direction, and he has won several national awards in fiction.
